Jennifer Landa is an actress, host, crafter, and mega Star Wars fan. Throughout high school and college, she honed her acting skills at South Coast Repertory’s Young Conservatory and at UC Irvine’s School of Drama. While in college, Jennifer was bestowed the honor of portraying “Princess Jasmine” at Disneyland. Her 5 year reign in Adventureland was magical beyond belief and she’d love to tell you all her Disney secrets but she swore an oath to Mickey Mouse.
Jennifer eventually left her magic carpet behind and moved to Los Angeles. She quickly landed a job at E! Entertainment Television as a Production Assistant. After a year, Jennifer ascended the production ranks to Associate Producer. As an AP she conducted interviews with celebrities like Zooey Deschanel and wrote & produced segments for the Style Network. She also worked with the Associated Press for their coverage of the Oscars. Although she loved covering all things pop culture, Jennifer left to pursue her acting dreams.
As an actress she has appeared on shows like ABC’s Better Off Ted (as a clueless magician’s assistant) and MTV’s Awkward. She has also appeared in numerous national commercials including Hebrew National, McDonalds, Toyota, T-Mobile, Ace Hardware, and Bud Light (Superbowl ad). You can currently see Jennifer as a nurse in an AT&T/DirecTV commercial.
Jennifer’s lifelong love of Star Wars has inspired her many YouTube videos. Whether she’s creating a porg puppy costume or baking a Sarlacc Pit Bundt Cake, the Force is strong with her and her channel. As an on-camera host, Jennifer has had the pleasure of working with Lucasfilm/Disney for StarWars.com. She is also a contributor for the official Star Wars blog. Other on-camera appearances include Collider’s Jedi Council, Screen Junkie’s Millennial Falcon and TV Movie Fights. In February 2018, her new Star Wars DIY show, DIY Hacks, will premiere on the official LEGO YouTube channel. And if you’re into Star Wars podcasts, she is a co-host on the ForceCenter podcast, with Ken Napzok and Joseph Scrimshaw.
Jennifer is a proud Latina, Southern California native, and an alumna of Second City LA. Whether you’ve landed her because of her Star Wars wedding or Death Star costume, welcome! Grab some blue milk and Wookiee cookies and stay for a while. 🙂
